SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– The man accused of a deadly hit-and-run crash in Schenectady has been indicted by a grand jury. According to the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office, Conroy Simpson, 30, of Queens, has been indicted on a felony charge of leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

Simpson is accused of leaving the scene of an accident after hitting an 8-year-old child with his car near Chrisler Avenue and Crane Street on March 19. Police said when they arrived, they found the child unresponsive at the scene and rushed him to Ellis Hospital, but the child later died.
