TROY — A 51-year-old Troy man is facing manslaughter charges after city police say he assaulted another man Wednesday morning over an apparent love triangle.
Donald G. McIntosh Jr. was at a Campbell Avenue storage facility when he allegedly got in a fight with another man, police said. Afterward, a friend tried driving the injured man to the hospital, managing to get him to the Burden Avenue Speedway before calling 911. First responders found him in cardiac arrest, and he was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police found McIntosh about 20 minutes later on Hill Street.
Police said both men were romantically involved with the same person, and the fight was “in part” due to this, Deputy Chief Steven Barker said. While results from an autopsy are pending, Barker said it appears no weapon was used…
