ALBANY, N.Y. – The Albany man accused of killing his sister was arraigned Friday morning on an indictment.
Police said Alphonso Lester, 60, struck 61-year-old Angela Helms in the head and face with a blunt object. It happened on Oct. 15 at 427 Hudson Ave. Lester left the scene and went to his home at 173 Western Ave, where there was standoff.
Lester eventually came out of the home after police used what appeared to be tear gas…
