ALBANY — When Elissa Halloran was 15 years old, she made her first venture to Lark Street to attend LarkFest, an outdoor music and arts festival that drew tens of thousands of people.
“I lived in the country, so this was the big, big city,” Halloran, of Melrose, said. “I just thought it was so cool.”
Years later, she opened her own business, Elissa Halloran Designs, at 229 Lark St. — something she never thought “would have ever happened in a million years.” It’s a small shop packed wall-to-wall with handmade jewelry, vintage items, collectibles and “a little bit of everything,” said Halloran, whose shop is nearing 25 years in business…
