Larry the Cable Guy to perform at Albany’s Palace Theatre

Just when it seemed like “Git-R-Done!” had been retired to the annals of catchphrase history, comedian Larry the Cable Guy is returning to Albany.

The Grammy Award nominee will bring his signature blue-collar comedy to the Palace Theatre on March 1 for “An Evening with Larry the Cable Guy,” as part of his ongoing, national “Git-R-Done!” tour. Tickets for the 8 p.m. show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via the Palace Theatre website.

The Nebraska-born comedian — whose real name is Daniel Lawrence Whitney — rose to prominence in the 2000s with popular stand-up comedy performances that attracted sold-out crowds and achieved significant records on the recording side, with two comedy albums, 2001’s “Lord, I Apologize” and 2005’s “The Right to Bare Arms,” both certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for selling more than 500,000 copies.
