ALBANY — Three members of the city’s Community Police Review Board abruptly resigned Friday evening, rendering the board tasked with investigating residents’ complaints of police misconduct unable to function.
The three members, Chair Antoinette Santos, Vice-Chair John Levendosky and Secretary Emily Sowek, emailed their resignation letters to the Common Council just hours after the board’s attorneys, Michael Goldstein and Kevin Cannizzaro, withdrew from representing the board in two lawsuits against the city.
