Emaciated dogs discovered near roadway in West Glenville

WEST GLENVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Glenville Dog Control is seeking the public’s help in identifying two emaciated dogs that were found close to the road on West Glenville Road in Glenville. Officials with the dog control office stated a community investigation led them to believe the dogs were dumped in the area on October 28.

The dog control office said in a social media post on Thursday that the dogs were found on Wednesday evening at the intersection of West Glenville Road and the Wolf Hollow Preserve trailhead parking lot. Neither of the dogs had a collar or microchip.

Officials stated the dogs appeared not to have been fed for an extended period, but had well-mannered temperaments. The first dog was caught quickly, while the second dog took a bit longer as it eluded initial capture attempts and required trapping to be saved.
