Family seeks justice after fatal crash claims life of beloved mother

A family is seeking answers following a tragic crash on Nov. 1 that claimed the life of Claudia Hargis-Grover and left her sister, Margaret Tripp, hospitalized. The incident occurred on I-87 northbound near exit 23 in Bethlehem when a car struck another vehicle, which then collided with the sisters’ car, sending it into a guardrail.

Hargis-Grover’s three daughters are mourning the loss of their mother, who they describe as a selfless and intelligent woman. “She was just a mom to everybody,” they said. Laura Grover, the youngest daughter, recalled, “I always laughed around her, we always did, just made sure everyone was happy and taken care of.” Katie Grover, the middle child, added, “She was the most selfless person in the entire world. Incredibly intelligent woman.” Jennifer Hargis, the oldest, said, “She was just genuine to the core. And that’s what I’m going to miss.”

The sisters were on their usual weekend thrift shopping trip when the crash occurred. Katie Grover reflected, “I think that they probably had a great day doing what they love to do together. So I like to think about that.”…
