Lark Street bar closing its doors after struggles with cabaret license law

Friday will be the last day of business for the Larkin Hi-Fi in Albany.

It’s after the city refused to grant it a cabaret license.

“Definitely the cabaret license was really bad for us, and it was really harmful to our ability to operate here,” said Nick Warchol, co-owner of the Larkin Hi-Fi. “It was a combination of that and the decline of Lark Street.”…
