The dead have never rested easy in Albany. Generations of construction projects have displaced cemeteries, while cycles of urban development and neglect have long buried — or in some cases, unearthed — generations of families and their secrets.
It’s a potent recipe for spooky history, certainly, and an environment that Albany Distilling Co. co-founder John Curtin and comic book writer Ron Marz were happy to explore in “Awakened Spirits,” an original comic book created to promote the local distiller’s new coffee-infused vodka.
