Upstate New York Weather Alert: 2–4 Inches of Snow Expected in Adirondacks, Mohawk Valley

Albany, NY – A cold front moving through upstate New York today is expected to bring much cooler temperatures and periods of lake effect snow across portions of the southern Adirondacks and western Mohawk Valley, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Albany.

Forecasters said that 2 to 4 inches of snow could accumulate in higher elevations near Old Forge, Herkimer, and Cobleskill, while lighter totals of 1 inch or less are expected farther east toward Albany, Pittsfield, and Glens Falls.
