Hoosick Falls woman arrested after police chase

HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Hoosick Falls Police reported on Monday that an arrest was made after a high-speed chase in the village earlier this month. Christina Levine, 42, faces numerous charges.

On November 1 around 3:30 a.m., police tried to pull Levine over after she reportedly committed multiple traffic violations while driving westbound near River and Fifth Streets in Hoosick Falls. Levine is accused of driving off in her sedan, leading to law enforcement engaging her in a pursuit that spanned between State Route 22 in Hoosick and State Route 7.

The chase concluded on Babcock Lake Road when Levine crashed into a wooded area just off the roadway. During a search of the car, officers allegedly found felony-weight narcotics, stimulants, and hallucinogens, as well as scales and packaging materials. She now faces the following charges:

  • Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance – stimulant
  • Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance – narcotics, intent to sell
  • Fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance – hallucinogen
  • Second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia – scales
  • Third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle

Levine was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries from the crash prior to being processed.
