Troy, NY (WRGB) — Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced that 22-year-old Jahnye Griffin of Watervliet, has been sentenced to 18 years in state prison with five years of post-release supervision for his role in a violent assault that took place earlier this year in Troy.
Authorities said the assault occurred on March 24, 2025, at 750 Second Avenue in Lansingburgh. Investigators determined that Griffin and the victim had connected through a social networking platform prior to the attack. Griffin fled the scene immediately after the assault.
