Video evidence leads to guilty plea after South Pearl Street bus stop robbery

Albany, NY (WRGB) — An Albany man pled guilty to robbery and threatening a man at a South Pearl Street bus stop in August.

Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon announced 24-year-old Freddie Black pleaded guilty before Hon. Thomas Marcelle to Attempted Robbery in the Second Degree, a felony.

Authorities say Black approached a man around 11:30 a.m. at the bus stop near South Pearl Street and Morton Avenue on August 12th. They say he pinned the victim’s neck with his arm, and demanded he empty his pockets. Black also threatened to have an accomplice attack the man if he didn’t comply…
