SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (WNYT) The city of Saratoga Springs is planning to pull back all funding for nonprofits, including the RISE homeless shelter.
The City Council held a budget workshop meeting on Friday. People attending the meeting shared their concerns about the cuts.
“It would seem these are sacrosanct amounts that should be cut last,” said resident Douglas Gerhardt. “My guess is I’ll see Christmas wreaths on Broadway soon. I probably will next year. I’ll probably see flowers getting planted. I would submit that beds at RISE are better than flower beds. So I’d ask you to take a hard look.”…
