Saratoga Springs man accused of firing ‘less-lethal’ pistol in road rage incident

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Saratoga Springs man was arrested on Friday after he allegedly fired a “less-lethal” pistol during a road rage incident in Clifton Park, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Landon Spring-McCarty, 22, faces several charges.

Just before 7:15 a.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to the Northway northbound near Grooms Road following a report of shots fired. An investigation found that Spring-McCarty had shot a “less-lethal” pistol at another car, authorities said.

The projectile reportedly hit the other involved car. A child was also in Spring-McCarty’s vehicle at the time of the incident, according to the sheriff’s office.

Spring-McCarty was arrested and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in Clifton Park Town Court and released to pretrial services pending further proceedings, officials said…
