ALBANY — Construction on a new mixed-use affordable housing development on the corner of Livingston Avenue and Broadway in Albany has been underway since August.
The development, Clinton Square Studios, is “a critical element” of Albany’s Clinton Square Downtown Revitalization Initiative strategic investment plan, according to Capitalize Albany, the city’s economic development agency.
The lot located at 794 Broadway is currently full of cranes moving around piles of dirt and planks of wood. By early 2027, the lot will be home to a building with ground-level retail space and 67 units dedicated to those eligible for low-income housing, as well as traveling artists connected with the next-door Capital Repertory Theatre, said David Sarraf, a co-owner of the project’s developer, Equity Residential Development LLC…
