Feds seeks death penalty for man accused of killing two western Mass. men

EDEN, VT. (WWLP) – Federal prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Theodore Bland, accused of killing two men from western Massachusetts in Vermont over two years ago.

22News sister station, ABC22/FOX44 in Vermont, states that Theodore Bland, 29, allegedly shot and killed Jahim Solomon of Pittsfield and Eric White of Chicopee, both 21, on October 12th, 2023.

Bland allegedly used social media to message his co-conspirators regarding procuring, pricing, and distributing controlled substances to drug customers. Bland was also alleged to have sent messages after the deaths of Solomon and White, conspiring about how to cover up the homicides.

The court documents state that Bland allegedly recruited others to assist him in moving the bodies of the two deceased men to separate wooded areas in Eden, Vt., where the bodies were later found by law enforcement on October 24 and 25, 2023…
