GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Fin – Your Fishmonger, located on Western Avenue in Guilderland, is now under new ownership. Outgoing owner Dora Swan made the announcement on Facebook on Wednesday.
The business is now owned by Chris and Erika Thompson, Swan’s sister and her sister’s husband. The Thompsons also own Northway Meals, a food delivery service located out of Clifton Park.
Swan told NEWS10 that she and her partner, Pete Kenyon, started Fin – Your Fishmonger about 17 years ago, selling wholesale and then appearing at farmer’s markets. Upon seeing a want for their fresh fish during the winter, the duo started selling fish out of their truck in parking lots before opening their brick-and-mortar location in Guilderland in 2010…
