Four arrested in Montgomery County drug bust after months-long investigation

Montgomery County, NY (WRGB) — A months-long series of narcotics investigations has resulted in four arrests tied to the possession and sale of drugs in Amsterdam and Fonda, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff ‘s office said the investigations targeted narcotics activity across Montgomery County and concluded with arrests between late October and November 20, 2025.

The individuals arrested are:

  • 39-year-old John Herrera from Amsterdam

Herrera was arrested on October 28, 2025, following an investigation reporting he sold narcotics from a location within Amsterdam. He was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

  • 20-year-old Darren Delliveneri Jr. from Amsterdam

Delliveneri was arrested on November 20, 2025, and charged with narcotics possession and sale in and around Amsterdam. He was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court and released on his own recognizance with a future court date.

  • 59-year-old Keith Lanier from Fonda

Lanier was arrested on November 20, 2025, and charged in connection with narcotics possession and sale in Fonda. He was held pending arraignment in the Town of Mohawk Court.

  • 41-year-old Kayla Heroth from Fonda

Heroth was also arrested on November 20, 2025, and charged with narcotics possession and sale in Fonda. She was held pending arraignment in the Town of Mohawk Court…
