Albany — On Monday, the Albany Common Council moved forward with an amendment to its expanded inclusionary zoning ordinance, raising maximum rents and providing an opt-out option via payment for developers.
The amendment comes two years after the Council expanded the City’s inclusionary zoning ordinance. The expansion came after overriding two vetoes from Mayor Kathy Sheehan, who has adamently opposed the legislation ever since.
