The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:
In a big reversal to our forecast from earlier in the week, we are now looking mostly dry for Friday!
A storm system passing to our north will bring cloudy skies, but only a few showers or flurries will clip the Adirondacks and North Country. The rest of us miss out on precipitation. Light winds out of the south help us rise to the upper 40’s for highs.
Tonight, cloudy skies keep us from getting too chilly – expect lows in the mid 30’s for most. A few sprinkles or flurries are possible south of Albany early Saturday morning, but shouldn’t amount to much.
Tomorrow looks brighter, but cool and rather brisk with a bit of a breeze and highs in the 40’s. The forecast looks good for the Schenectady County Holiday parade in the evening!
Sunday, however, could now feature a few afternoon and evening showers in the valleys. Light snow showers are possible in the hills. Monday looks quiet and seasonable with highs in the upper 40’s.
A storm system will bring wet weather in the run up to the big Thanksgiving holiday, with showers Tuesday afternoon and into the day Wednesday. Temperatures are too warm for snow in most spots, with only a bit of wintry mix in the mountains up north. Thanksgiving itself looks mild, cloudy, and breezy, but mostly dry – only one or two lingering showers…
