ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – An 18-year-old man has pleaded guilty for his role in a deadly shooting at an Albany barbershop that killed one person and injured two.
The Albany County District Attorney’s Office said the teen pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter for the shooting at Village Barber and Beauty on May 13, 2023. His name is not being released, because of his status as a juvenile offender.
Albany Police said four men who are members of an uptown gang opened fire with multiple guns and killed 47-year-old barber Tyrone Staley and wounded a 19-year-old man and a 9-year-old boy.
