ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Capital City Rescue Mission in Albany served nearly 2,000 Thanksgiving meals to people in need. After days of preparation, volunteers served a hot meal to neighbors through both sit-down and takeout options.
Executive Dir. Perry Jones said it wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of the community.

“I just want to thank the Capital Region of New York State, the most charitable place on earth,” he said. “Thank you all for making this happen because this is donor driven. We’re not government funded. We’re funded by the beautiful people of the Capital Region.”
