Amsterdam, NY (WRGB) — A 25-year-old Amsterdam man is facing felony charges after police say he was found with a loaded gun while officers responded to a disturbance last week.
According to the Amsterdam Police Department, officers were called to Guy Park Avenue on November 21 for reports of a man and woman arguing outside. The caller told police they overheard the man saying he had a gun and provided descriptions of both individuals.
Police say officers searched the area and located them on Caroline Street. During a probable cause search, the man, identified as Mark Johnson, was reportedly found in possession of a loaded .40 caliber Taurus semi-automatic handgun.
