Code Blue declared in Albany, Schenectady Counties

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Albany County and Schenectady County officials announced that a Code Blue has been declared for both areas. Albany County’s alert will be in place on Friday night, and Schenectady County’s will be in effect from 8 p.m. on Friday through 7 a.m. on Monday, December 8.

Code Blues allow for the extension of operating hours and eligibility expansion for shelter services when inclement winter weather is forecasted. Anyone in need of emergency sheltering can visit the following facilities in Albany and Schenectady:

Albany

Capital City Rescue Mission

Safe Haven Drop-In Center

  • 26 South Swan Street

Warming Center

  • 45 South Ferry Street
