TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– The Troy City School District and Wynantskill Union Free School District are looking to reorganize their operations and merge by 2027.

In April, the Wynantskill UFSD began an optimization study to gain an understanding of the district’s current state, as well as how the school district can improve things like efficiency, cost savings, and use of resources moving forward.
“The study affirmed the many strengths of our district, while also identifying fiscal challenges and limited opportunities that come with our small size,” the district said.
