Hudson man gets 12 years in prison for violent attack on ex-girlfriend

HUDSON, N.Y. (WNYT) – A Hudson man will spend 12 years in prison for choking and attempting to stab his ex-girlfriend.

Orlando Williams, 55, was found guilty in April for the March 2024 violent attack, according to the Columbia County District Attorney’s Office. Prosecutors said Williams put his hand over the victim’s mouth, dragged her down the stairs and took her to a nearby wooded area. He then held her down, choked her and attempted to stab her with a knife.

Williams was arrested the following day in Greene County…
