The Egg to ‘hatch’ following monthslong closure

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Egg in Albany will be reopening its doors in January 2026. The performing arts venue has been closed for renovations since July.

In honor of its reopening, The Egg will host a free ribbon cutting celebration on January 8. The public will be able to explore the building, listen to music by DJ HollyW8D and watch an aerial performance by Albany-based Good Karma Studio.

The celebratory event will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Those interested in attending should RSVP online.

“New York’s Egg is ready to be hatched, and January 8 is not just the reopening of a building; it is the beginning of a new chapter for Albany and for New York state,” said Diane Eber, executive director of The Egg.
