Social media showed person turning Mass. ‘streets into death traps,’ police say

A Massachusetts driver was “vastly exceeding” speed limits, creating “massive smoke clouds” doing burnouts and other “dangerous stunts” to post on social media, according to the Pittsfield Police Department.

And those posts helped officers bring charges.

“Our streets are shared spaces, not your private stunt track,” the police department wrote. “The risks posed by this behavior — the loss of life, severe injury, and property damage — are immense and unacceptable.”…
