SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — After years of community members pushing for a reduced speed limit in the Woodlawn neighborhood, the city of Schenectady has installed two stop signs on Kings Road.
Tracey Collins and his wife, Holli, have advocated for changes along Kings Road and Queen Philomena Boulevard after their property has been damaged by speeding cars at least eight times since they’ve lived there. They said the signs feel like a step in the right direction.

“We are happy the signs are finally up, and we’re hoping and praying for a happy and safe holiday season.”
Tracey said the dangerous traffic made it difficult for them to have friends and family over to their home. Now, they have some peace of mind and are hoping to invite their loved ones over for the holidays…
