CORINTH, NY (WRGB) — Two people each face multiple felony charges after a traffic stop Friday in Corinth.
According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, officers conducted a traffic stop for inadequate headlamps Friday at 6:20 p.m. on River Street. Investigation into the stop led to the arrest of Thomas A. Allen, 37, of Hadley and Erica B. Shippee, 39, of Corinth, on four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree (class B felonies), three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 5th degree (class D felonies), criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree and two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia (class A misdemeanors).
Both are accused of knowingly and unlawfully possessing a narcotic drug with intent to sell it and of knowingly and unlawfully possessing a narcotic drug weighing one-half ounce or more. Allen and Shippee are also charged with knowingly and unlawfully possessing a controlled substance with intent to sell it and with knowingly possessing scales and packaging used for unlawfully dispensing a narcotic drug.
