Albany, NY (News10) — Holiday time has people thinking about presents, but one of the greatest gifts we can give to others is our time and attention — and that’s especially true when it comes to mentoring today’s youth. That’s the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region which uses one-to-one mentoring relationships to ignite the power and promise of children and teens.

They have a fundraiser happening today, a departure from their usual gala. Instead, they’re putting on a talent show taking place later today that is youth-driven. Keila dos Santos is the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region; she stopped by the News10 studio to tell us about this new event.
You can learn more about the event, which takes place at 6 p.m. tonight at the Capital Repertory Theatre, by going to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region’s website.
