Man admits to shooting Schenectady father as children looked on

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (WNYT) – A man has admitted to shooting and killing a Schenectady father as his three children looked on.

Cecil Toland, 20, pleaded guilty in Schenectady County Court on Monday to second-degree murder. Toland shot Wilfredo Vasquez outside a Van Vranken Avenue bodega on April 23, according to the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office.
