Lead Found In Water At Dozens Of Schools In Capital Region, State Data Shows

Dozens of school districts across the Capital Region have detected lead in their drinking water this year under New York’s newly tightened safety standards, according to newly released state data.

The findings come after New York lowered the allowable limit for lead in school drinking water from 15 parts per billion to five parts per billion in 2022.
