Third-prize winning Powerball ticket sold in Troy

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Capital Region convenience store sold a third-prize-winning Powerball ticket on December 17. The New York Lottery announced on Thursday that the Stewart’s Shops on Northern Boulevard in Troy sold the winning ticket.

State lottery officials said the one winning ticket is worth $50,000. The winning numbers are drawn from a field of one through 69, and the red ball is drawn from another field of one through 29.

Powerball drawings are televised every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Anyone struggling with a gambling addiction can find help online through the NY Problem Gambling Help website or by calling the New York confidential HELPline at (877) 846-7369.
