CDTA tests stroller spaces on buses

ALBANY — Parents may see some relief from the rush to stow away their stroller when they get on a bus.

Under a Capital District Transportation Authority pilot program launched Monday, select bus routes now accommodate one braked stroller per bus on a first-come, first-served basis.

It’s intended to serve as an alternative to CDTA’s longstanding policy of requiring riders to fold up strollers. That policy remains in effect in regular seating areas…
