ALBANY — After more than two months in which the city’s Community Police Review Board was unable to conduct business following the resignations of three members, the panel is once again capable of achieving quorum.
The Common Council last week voted to appoint Michael Logan and Josh Singletary to the nine-member board, which is empowered to review and investigate complaints of alleged misconduct committed by Albany Police Department personnel. The council appoints five members of the CPRB board; the mayor names the remaining four.
The board, which now has six members, said in a statement that it is “hopeful Mayor-Elect (Dorcey) Applyrs will quickly appoint three additional members to fill the vacant mayoral seats.”…
