The New York Attorney General’s Office has opened an investigation into the death of a man who was struck and killed by an off-duty NYPD officer on the New York State Thruway in Rockland County last week.
The Attorney General’s Office of Special Investigation announced Tuesday, Dec. 23, that it is reviewing the circumstances surrounding the death of Bravo Nondo, 45, of Albany, who was fatally struck early Thursday morning, Dec. 18, in Nanuet, as Daily Voice previously reported.
According to state officials, the crash happened at about 4:40 a.m. as an off-duty NYPD officer was driving his personal vehicle and merging onto the Thruway southbound at Exit 14. Investigators said Nondo had exited a stopped vehicle on the ramp and was in the roadway when he was struck…
