ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Mechanicville man pleaded not guilty to attempted murder charges in Albany County Court on Tuesday. The Albany County District Attorney’s Office said Sean Davidson, 37, is accused of stabbing two men in October in Albany.

Authorities were called on October 18, around 3:44 a.m., to an apartment on Green Street in Albany for a stabbing. According to Albany Police Department officers, Davidson allegedly targeted someone who had an order of protection against him, beat him with a hammer, and stabbed him in the lower back.
The victim was rushed to Albany Medical Center and intubated before having life-saving surgery. The DA’s office said the victim’s friend tried intervening, but Davidson allegedly also hit him with a hammer and stabbed him in the armpit area. Following his arraignment, Davidson was remanded to Albany County Jail.
