ALBANY — The Capital District and Hudson Valley likely won’t have a white Christmas this year, but weekend snow flurries and sleet could complicate post-holiday travel.
Travelers can expect messy roads Friday evening into Saturday morning, with the heaviest snowfall predicted overnight. Snowy conditions are expected to diminish throughout the day on Saturday, with meteorologists predicting a lull in wintry weather from about noon Saturday to 2 p.m. Sunday.
Between 1 and 3 inches of snow are forecast across the Capital District by Saturday morning. Parts of the Hudson Valley could see significantly more. Greene County was on track to receive between 6 and 8 inches, with meteorologists calling the eastern Catskills “the area to watch.”…
