Each enforcement detail used troopers in plainclothes, as well as one or several underage operatives who could not lie about their age or date of birth. Two businesses — identified as Xtra Mart on Ushers Road in Clifton Park and East Side Wine and Spirits on Maple Dell in Saratoga Springs — allegedly sold alcohol to the underage operatives.

The two sellers were charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child. The 46 other businesses reportedly complied with New York State law.
