Abandoned dog rescued on Christmas morning in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (WRGB) — A small dog was found abandoned near the Mohawk-Hudson Bike Trail in Schenectady on Christmas morning. Kelly McFarland, a local resident, discovered the dog while walking near Schenectady County Community College.

“It had multiple wounds that were oozing. It didn’t have much fur left; it was shivering,” McFarland said.

The dog, a Yorkie-poo, was found near a taped box, suggesting it had been placed there before breaking out. Despite its condition, the dog showed affection immediately…
