North Greenbush Police seek information on alleged assault

NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10)– The North Greenbush Police Department is looking for information in regard to serious injuries sustained by Brian Murphy on Tuesday, December 9. According to police, his injuries were inconsistent with a reported accidental fall.

Police said officers were requested at the Hampton Place Condominiums around 10:40 p.m. for reports of a man falling in the parking lot and was not breathing. Responders were able to resuscitate the man, identified as Murphy, and transported him to Albany Medical Center for further treatment.

According to police, the medical assessment he received showed that he sustained significant injuries, which were determined to may not be from falling. Police, however, have not been able to determine how or where the injuries occurred.

Police Chief David Keevern said the department believes Murphy was the victim of an assault but are hoping someone will remember seeing him that night.

“We understand that some time has passed since this incident occurred and that we’renot giving a lot of details; however, we remain hopeful that members of the public may recallinformation that could assist in clarifying the circumstances involved,” said Keevern. “Any information, even details that may appear minor, could be helpful to theinvestigation.”…
