ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will be offering free rides through New Year’s Eve. The service comes as an effort to assist with the statewide STOP DWI campaign.

Free rides will be available beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday and continue through 2 a.m. on Thursday. CDTA will also follow a Sunday/holiday schedule on New Year’s Day, with no Northway Xpress or Thruway Xpress commuter services.
Regular weekday service will resume on Friday. The CDTA Sales window will also be closed on Thursday and reopen on Friday.
