ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT)- In New York, the number of flu cases has been rising over the past few weeks with the states flu tracker showing more than 47,000 statewide.
Local physician, Dr. Danielle Wales, says there is a new variant that can spread the flu virus easier. She says she’s seen people with symptoms like fevers, muscle aches and fatigue. But, some people also get stomach symptoms like nausea and vomiting, making the flu shot important.
“It’s possible that you could still get the flu with the flu shot,” Dr. Wales said. “However, the likelihood is you won’t get sick as badly as without the shot.”…
