ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An Albany man has been arrested following an alleged stabbing on Henry Johnson Boulevard Saturday morning, according to the Albany Police Department. Melvin Grimes, 44, faces multiple charges.

Police were dispatched to the scene, located at Wash Factory at 151 Henry Johnson Boulevard, at about 8:50 a.m. Upon arrival, authorities found a 49-year-old man with a stab wound to the chest.
The victim was treated on scene by medical personnel before being taken to Albany Medical Center. Police said he is in stable condition.

According to an investigation, the victim had been stabbed during a physical altercation inside the laundromat. The suspect, identified as Grimes, was reportedly on scene when police arrived and he was taken into custody.
Grimes has been charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He will be arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court on Sunday…
