Stand-up comedian and Fox Late Show host John Mulrooney dies aged 67

Stand-up comedian, actor and former late-night television host John Mulrooney has passed away at the age of 67.

The Albany Times-Union confirmed that Mulrooney was discovered deceased at his residence in Coxsackie, New York, on December 29. A cause of death has not yet been established.

Brooklyn-born on August 27, 1958, Mulrooney was educated at Brooklyn Technical High School before establishing himself on the comedy scene at the iconic Pips comedy club in Sheepshead Bay. His major opportunity arrived through the talent competition Star Search. Although he didn’t claim victory, the exposure secured him a position in the show’s writing team and paved the way for stand-up performances throughout New York City., and eventually paved way for him to become.
