Woman facing cruelty charges for her alleged treatment of rabbits in her care

MALTA, NY (WRGB) — A Malta woman faces charges of animal cruelty after authorities allege she neglected two rabbits in her care.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ashley L. Marble, 37, on Dec. 28, 2025, on an arrest warrant issued by the Malta Town Court. Marble is charged with two counts of overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals, as well as failure to provide proper sustenance, all class A misdemeanors.

The charges stem from incidents in October 2025, when Marble allegedly failed to provide adequate care for the rabbits, which were reportedly infested with fleas and kept in unsanitary conditions. One of the rabbits was also said to have an eye infection. Following her arrest, Marble was released on appearance tickets and is awaiting further proceedings in the Malta Town Court…
