Silver Parrot, the boutique known for its jewelry, clothing, and accessories, will close after 41 years in business as owner Clint Hegeman announced his retirement.
Hegeman first opened Silver Parrot on Lark Street in 1980 before relocating to Delaware Plaza and later settling at Stuyvesant Plaza in 1984. The store, located at 1475 Western Ave. in Albany, has remained there ever since.
“Working with customers, curating our collections and being my own boss have all been immensely satisfying,” Hegeman wrote. “But time catches up to us all, and with that being said, it’s time for me to retire.”…
